OuR HISTORY
Leadership USA traces its roots to the Leadership Development Courses conducted by The Boys’ Brigade and The Girls’ Brigade in Queensland, Australia for the last 40+ years. Those courses were born out of a recognition that teenagers benefit greatly from development and training in leadership skills and spiritual discipleship before they are sent off into the world. In the early 2010s, a contingent of young teens from Christ Church of the Valley in southern California was sent to Queensland, Australia where they underwent a transformational Leadership journey. Three stages later, their lives bore testimony to the need for a similar leadership program here in the United States. With the incredible help, sacrifices, and commitments of countless Aussies and a team of willing and committed servants in southern California, Leadership USA launched its first Leadership USA course in 2014.
We have witnessed the Lord’s blessing on this program and life-altering outcomes in both students and the staff alike. But it must be said that nothing that has been done, was accomplished by our own efforts. While we can trace our history to physical locations, dates, and other notable milestones, our existence is owed to all that is unseen—the quiet commitments of countless faithful servants postured on their knees before our Mighty God.
‘Leadership’ originated in prayer and in alignment with God’s will and we are committed to continuing in this manner as we march forward into the future.
